The Bohemian design style is beyond popular nowadays and because of this a lot of people are looking for ways to add bohemian vibes to their homes.

There’s something about this design style that feels relaxing, calm and just inviting. I’ve had someone describe it to me as feeling like they were back in Tulum all over again. Now I’ve never been to Tulum, but the pics I see on Instagram made me add it to my list of travel spots. I will also agree that it does give off Bohemian vibes.

One of the things that I do want to point out about this design style is that it provides us with a connection to our home.

This design style embodies textures like cotton and tassels and the very popular wall macrames, bold color, natural elements like woods and plants and let’s not forget all the bold patterns we’ve been seeing everywhere like mudcloth. So in case you haven’t made this connection, I’m making it for you.

So for my white people out there who have landed here from Pinterest and love them some Bohemian vibes, there’s a little background to where this design style comes from. If these items are welcomed into your home and you admire them, then let’s educate ourselves about their origins.

The Easiest Way To Add Bohemian Vibes To Your Space

One of the must have elements of the Bohemian design style and one that will absolutely give your home all of the Bohemian vibes is Rattan. You might not be familiar with the term Rattan, but I will assure you that you’ve seen it before if you love this design style.

If you don’t really know how to incorporate this design style into your home, start with adding some Rattan items to your decor. Now if you don’t know where to start, I’ve blessed you with a moodboard with some of my favorite Rattan pieces. My choices are not what you’ll see on Pinterest that’s for sure, but they are beautiful nonetheless. So I hope to inspire you to broaden your horizons with some of these rattan pieces.
