I'm going to begin with an apology. While I was away on vacation for the past 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic with my family, my website went down. I returned yesterday and have since been working on bringing it back up. After much sweat and tears, it's finally back up and let's just say that I have a new found respect for all of the web developers out there! So, I'm so sorry that my pre-scheduled posts did not go out as planned, but I'm back now so I'll get right to my topic of the day...budget decorating.

I often get asked for ways on how to decorate a room on a budget so I decided to put together a before and after project for you.

Accessories are a dream because they can really give your room a huge makeover and they don't eat up a huge chunk of your wallet. So onto my example.

Take a look at the below pic to see how I've transformed a kind of drab room into something fabulous with just a few accessories all for under $500. I've taken some of the items that I sourced and placed them in the room to give you a better visual. Even with just some new throw pillows and curtains, the room seems refreshed.
