Room Revamp Ideas For Spring Part 2
Last week I blessed you with five room revamp ideas and in case you missed those tips, you can check them out here.
I also promised you that I’d be back with five more tips this week and so here I am - I keep my word.
No small talk. Let’s jump right into the tips because I want you to get started with revamping your room NOW!
Room Revamp Ideas: Switch Up Your Hardware
You can do two things to give your furniture pieces or cabinets a facelift.
One: spray paint your knobs, drawer pulls a new color (this will give them a mini facelift) or Two: switch them out all together for something different for a total facelift.
Whichever option you choose, your furniture and cabinets will be looking really cute. There are so many finishes to choose from and I even have some knobs in my Amazon shop here in case you want to get started right away.
Another idea is to switch out the door knobs to your actual closet doors or room doors. You can try a crystal looking knob, gold, brass, black etc.
Room Revamp Ideas: Declutter
You guys already know how much energy a space can hold now imagine when a space is filled with clutter. The energy feels stuffy and just low. Why? Because your room can’t breathe due to all the stuff it’s holding and on top of that, all that clutter is stopping any good energy or good vibes from entering your home because it’s filled with things that no longer serve you or that you just aren’t in love with anymore. That was a mouthful! I break down the benefits of decluttering your space even further in this blog post.
If clutter is overwhelming your space and you need tips to help you declutter fast, I got you! I put together a masterclass with tips on how to declutter and organize your space so that you can eliminate the stress and anxiety. You can find the masterclass here.
Room Revamp Ideas: Layer a Rug
This is a good way to add color to your room and if you’re not a color person, you can mix different textures in your room with this tip.
One thing to keep in mind is that you do have to get a smaller rug to place on top of your existing rug so that you can actually have a layered rug look. The smaller rug can be full of color or a pattern that you really love. You can add a cow hide rug on top of your existing rug to mix up the textures in your space like I mentioned earlier.
Room Revamp Ideas: Wallpaper/Stencil
Before you roll your eyes at this tip, give me a sec to explain!
Wallpaper has changed over the years. What do I mean you’re wondering?
Look, it now comes in a peel and stick version so you no longer have to mess with all the glue and application process like back in the day. I mean traditional wallpaper is still a thing, but there is also a peel and stick version that is also renter friendly since it allows you to easily peel it off when you move out. Genius I know!
Not into wallpaper and have some time on your hands? Try a wall stencil instead.
So go ahead add some pattern or color or both to your space and watch the upgrade unfold.
Room Revamp Ideas: Switch Up Your Accessories
Now I left the most common one for last again. It’s common because it does the trick.
So go and switch up your throw pillows by buying new pillow covers. Btw, buying pillow covers is way more affordable than going out and buying brand new throw pillows. You’re welcome.
Back to the tip. You can use your rug or artwork as a guide for inspiration while you’re at it. Especially if you’re stuck with what new color to go with.
Let’s say that your rug has some orange, pink and blue and your current accessories are blue. This time around get you some orange pillow covers and curtains with a pretty orange pattern, Now you’ve saved yourself some money by not having to change every single thing in your room since accessories are cheap to replace versus a whole entire room.
If you’re a neutral girl, this tip will still work for you. Let me break it down real quick for you.
Switch out your neutral beiges for maybe some greys or blacks. Remember, there are hundreds of color variations you can select - go deep or soft with your colors. The point is play around with different shades to find something that you like. Another thing you can try is playing around with different materials like golds, metals, woods, etc.
Try one of these out for a quick room revamp.
There you have it!
